Ah, the job search.

March 22nd, 2009

I left my last employer on good terms at the end of February, and since then have focused on skill-building in web design, development, analytics, and of course social media. I’m certainly not alone on the job hunt. For example, I learned a few days ago that a number of former coworkers left a previous employer.

Still, I am actually more optimistic now than in any previous job search situation. Largely, the internet is the reason for this. As I write this, I know that there’s an audience out there that needs to know they are also not alone, and that gives me hope. So to all of you fellow job searchers, best of luck, and please send traffic my way. I will be glad to do the same for you!

Yes, It’s Time To Pull The Bootstraps

February 17th, 2009

Thanks for visiting! It’s been a few years since I mad a blog post. I established a blog in 2006 using Google’s Blogger tool, but only made one post.

I have chosen to relaunch my blog using WordPress because Yahoo, my site host for http://www.markmulvihill.com, offers this great tool. This time I am hosting this blog on a subdomain of my own site, and will soon change the look of this blog to match the CSS on my main site.

Also, I will be using this blog to cross-promote my presence on other social networking sites, including
Digg:http://digg.com/users/markmulvihill
LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/markmulvihill
MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/markmulvihill
Twitter: http://twitter.com/markmulvihill

I may add Facebook to that list at a later date.

Thanks for reading, and hope 2009 is a great year for you!

Oh, and as for the title of this post, it’s just time to get back to work on blogging!
